A national event designed to encourage health awareness through physical activity for African-American women. The event will increase awareness of the health risks associated with a sedentary lifestyle and promote the benefits of an active lifestyle.

This event is designed to increase awareness of the health risks associated with a sedentary lifestyle and promote the benefits of an active lifestyle. Walking distance: 3k (1.86 miles) at the Prince George's Sports & Learning Complex indoor track. All participants must complete a registration form and sign Release Form to participate in the Fitness Fun Walk. Free and open to the public.

National Exercise With Your Child Week™ (Link)

This week encourages parents and guardians to exercise with their children as part of a healthier lifestyle. Exercise enables children to improve their overall well being, to maintain a healthier weight and to reduce the risk of hypertension and cardiovascular disease.
