Get In Step with The National African-American Women's Fitness Month Fitness Fun Walk™

Washington, DC (January 3, 2018) - On Saturday,TBA, Sheila Madison & Associates' National African - American Women's Fitness Month will host the 7th Annual Fitness Fun Walk. The event will be held at The Prince George's Sports & Learning Complex indoor track in Landover, MD. The Fitness Fun Walk is 3k (1.86 miles). The event will start at 9:00 AM.

"The beautiful indoor track at at the Prince George's Sports & Learning Complex is an excellent venue to host the 2nd Annual Fitness Fun Walk," says Sheila Madison, founder of Sheila Madison & Associates and the National African-American Women's Fitness Month. "My goal is to get people moving and excited about physical fitness."

Sheila Madison created the National African-American Women,s Fitness Month Fitness Fun Walk to inspire the community to incorporate physical activity into their daily lives. According to health professionals, walking on a regular basis has many health benefits. Walking can reduce the risk or heart disease, lower blood pressure, assist in weight loss and reduce stress and depression.

The National African-American Women's Fitness Month (NAAWFM) is a national event designed to encourage health awareness through physical activity for African-American women. The NAAWFM is designed to increase awareness of the health risks associated with a sedentary lifestyle and promote the benefits of an active lifestyle. The NAAWFM was founded by Sheila Madison of Sheila Madison & Associates in 2006.
