Sheila Madison & Associates Announces 2016 Personal and Professional Development Scholarship

WASHINGTON DC, (November 17, 2015) - Sheila Madison & Associates announces the 2016 Sheila Madison & Associates Personal and Professional Development Scholarship. The purpose of the scholarship is to encourage continuous personal and professional development for African American college students who attend an accredited college or university in the United States with a 3.0 or better G.P.A.

This is the fifth year of the Sheila Madison & Associates Personal and Professional Development Scholarship. Two students will be awarded $500.00 each. “We are excited to provide financial assistance to students for their educational goals and increase their awareness of the importance of lifelong learning,” said Sheila Madison, founder of Sheila Madison & Associates.

Students are required to complete an essay and scholarship application. The essay topic for 2016: Describe three admirable qualities that you would like a mentor to possess. What is your career goal and how do you think a mentor can assist you in achieving your career goal?

Previous scholarship recipients have attended Fairleigh Dickinson University, Howard University, Palm Beach State College and the University of California, Riverside.

The scholarship application must be postmarked no later than January 30, 2016.
